Lacie Murphy's first models were her barbie dolls. At the age of five she dyed the ubiquitous doll's hair, painted its face, and designed garments out of fabric bits. Lacie's talent and early passion has directed itself into a love of fashion design. She is an original CFDC mover and shaker -- and has spent countless hours dedicated to each exceptional CFDC production.

Kaibrina Sky Buck grew up playing dress-up and creating alternate realities with her sisters, Lilia and Anisa and her brother, Nate. She first came to San Francisco in 1993, with hopes of becoming a performance artist, after earning a degree in Dance and Women's Studies from UC Santa Cruz. A year of making latte's for the good people of Noe Valley, almost killed her dream and led her quickly back to school. She fled to Oakland and studied Textiles at CCAC, where she learned to dye, print and weave her own fabric. There, she used these skills to create costumes, sculptural installations, videos and performance. Around the time of her graduation, she became a member of Cloud Factory Design Collective, which was putting on their first show at The Cell Space. She appeared in the finale, in her "Milk and Matrimony" wedding dress and felt like a real performance artist as she symbolically wed her flaming flower girl, Mark. Since then, CFDC has continued to create opportunities for her fantasies to become realities. Today, her dress-up box is over-flowing and she loves to costume those who want to play along.

Melody dos Santos spends days at a time chained to her sewing machine for the mere glory of CFDC shows. Her creative outlets also include illustration and web design (she did this site). Her illustrations will make their publishing debut this winter with the printing of The World Belongs to Us, a book by Stephanie Yang of The Women's Foundation.

Lauren Giniger's style inspiration comes from her bird, Num Num. Always preening, she believes a mirror is her best friend.

Lauren hopes to inject her worry lines with a strong animal tranquilizer, and use the proceeds from the next CFDC show for a well-deserved tropical getaway.
